Day 1, which is also the Regional Telemedicine Forum end of project conference, will focus on strategies and guidelines for prevention and treatment to address the increasing number of chronically ill patients in the community. It is predicted that they will become the biggest care consumer group in Europe. Day 2 will be devoted to interdisciplinary debates about change management, patient empowerment, innovation and financing – all highly topical subjects in meeting the demands made on future care.
The conference will also showcase actual projects and solutions through exhibitions, demonstrations and relevant study visits. A full social programme in the spirit of Midsummer, will be organised at Gammelstad Church Town - a Unesco World Heritage Site.
